Ahh, Console Troubles!!!

Dudes, if anyone knows what is up with this, I'd apreciate some help. Ya see, a. I can't open the console in the game while it's running. the tild key and f1 don't do anything either, unless assigned to some random, pointless action. Anyhoo, also, when I do manage to exit the game without quiting completely, the menu screen is all screwed up. It's like there's a little window in the upper left of the screen that responds, but nothing else does. And after that, everything is weird. Any idea?

try running it in START>RUN

If you go to your config.cfg file and open it in notepad you can change the value of console to "1" instead of zero. You can also change other settings as well.
