I have a question about the moderators policy on spam.

I notice when you spot a thread with spam you close it immediately. I'm wondering if it would be better for you to just delete the spamming posts, so other people could post in them, instead of them just starting another thread.( The most recent I found was the 'Blast Swiping' thread, which I admit I spammed on as well)

I don't know where this goes, so I put it here, move it if it isn't.

I'm not telling you how to do your jobs or anything, or anything that might get me a warning:D

well if a few people spam its alright they dont close it just say stop spamming or something but if the whole thing is spam they usually do

i started that blast swiping thread and some certain people just flamed and spammed it to hell.

deleting the posts would make more sense but then they would spam over it being deleted.

unless the whole thread is spam or against some forum rules i wouldn't delete anything.

It's like fire prevention . . . we stop the fires and leave reminders of what causes them (and causes the FD to kick in your threads door).

Some threads are to damaged to be resonably saved . . . these are closed.
