I would recommend saving the extra hundred bucks and getting a 6800 you can probly find them for about 280 on newegg, they only have 128mb at that price but it would have to be a step up from a 9800 pro. I have also heard that Powercolors have a lot of problems i.e. blowing up and starting fires and what not.

Don't buy powercolor, but the ATI Radeon 9800 XT, you won't see a difference in performance compared to the nvidia 6800.

Heh, yea you will.

And King_Nak, you're probably buying the 128bit memory version. It'll perform around the same as a 9500Pro.

While that will kick the crap out of a 9800Pro, I'd recommend getting a BFG 6800 OC if you're going in that price range.

I'm not an nVidiot, and thanks for using my term -_-, I'm actually quite pro-ati at the moment.

He's not an nVidiot for stating facts. The 6800 is better than the 9800 Pro. That doesn't mean it's better than the x800. The 6800 happens to be the best deal this holiday season, I'm getting one pretty soon.
